As the largest Swiss online retailer, Galaxus carries almost everything for almost every*n in its range. Digitec is Switzerland's most relevant platform for digital products such as IT, telecommunications and consumer electronics. Both platforms offer informative and inspiring independent content and an engaged community that exchanges and helps each other.

Galaxus and the Turtle
The Galaxus name stands for the entire range and the new shopping experience. For the entire «department store galaxy» just a single mouse click away. The turtle's logo isn't a coincidence either. Mythologies of many ancient peoples claim that it represents the entire world –even the universe–, carries it upon itself, and thus always has it with it. She is also robust, reliable and smart. It is precisely these qualities that Galaxus has set itself the goal: to unite a universe of products in one place, compact and competent, and to provide our customers with a tailor-made and efficient shopping experience.

Company history
The year is 2000. Three friends share a passion: gaming. They don't see why they should shell out a fortune for their gaming PCs. Abroad, the individual parts cost a fraction. Without further ado, they assemble their own computers. That stands out. For now, with acquaintances and relatives. One order chases the next, production gets going. Why not make a business out of it? Said and done. In April 2001, they programmed their own online shop www.digitec.ch and founded the general partnership Nägeli Trading & Co. However, they sold not only PCs, but the entire range of IT and, somewhat later, consumer electronics.

The three friends - Florian Teuteberg, Oliver Herren and Marcel Dobler - are still under 25 years old at this point. The joy of innovation and efficient processes and workflows drives them forward. Your online shop should offer a wide range at low prices and serve customers professionally. Growth is rapid. Relocations, renovations and expansions run through the company's entire history. The company, initially underestimated, is quickly becoming the online electronics market leader.

Barely fully established in the electronics market, the three friends come up with an extension of the business idea: In 2012, they launched Galaxus, Switzerland's largest online department store. The offer ranges from household to toys to sporting goods.
In 2014, the third in-house online shop for both platforms, Digitec and Galaxus, was launched from scratch.

Today, the offices are located at Zurich's Kreis 5 district. The logistics space covers more than 120,000 square meters. Ten Digitec stores are spread across German-speaking and French-speaking Switzerland.
